Maverick History

Maverick have been producing advertising and in-game content for some of the most prestigious video games publishers since 95. Our work centres on creative and strategic thinking around advertising and content production and dissemination.
We started off as a bunch of eager film school grads making film trailers and have grown up alongside the video games industry wthrough the launch of the MegaDrive, the SNES and PlayStation (1). We've always made sure that Maverick is more than just an agency - and we're always trying out new ideas, and innitiatives, exploring new creative collaborations and working with new people in new ways. From 2002 we pioneered many sucessful viral campaigns and set up the World's first Viral Advertising Awards in 2003. In 2004 we set up Tokyo's first Viral Advertising Agency - Maverick Media Japan KK, (we actually made successful comedy viral films for Japan from London!). While we've worked with many brands including Mazda, Renault, Microsoft, it's in video games where we now focus and have been a part of some of the most prestigious games releases each year; Little Big Planet, Mario and Sonic, Resistance Fall of Man, Burnout, Black, FIFA amongst others.
Fifteen years on, we're older and wiser but still with the same values; creativity, cooperation and developing people.

Other Companies in our Group are:

The Viral Chart - Est. 2004 The Viral Chart tracks and benchmarks viral ad campaigns and publishes them on a chart. Through developing the Viral Chart and the initial technology we've helped to create the spread of some of the most effective viral campaigns of the past years (including the ones we have made ourselves). Now Powered by MemeCounter technology we are focusing on tracking free to play casual games around the world.
Traffik - Est. 2004 Traffik specialises in versioning, adapting and distributing advertising (TV, Cinema, Digital). Traffik is premised on the beleif that traditionally many clients have had to pay too much and wait too long for their agencies to perform various important, but less creative tasks around the versioning and distribution of assets.
