Following on from our trailer production work on Ridge Racer: Unbounded, Namco Bandai approached us to provide strategy and brand direction for a new Free-To-Play version of the game. This was to be Namco’s first foray into F2P gaming, and Maverick supported them with a positioning and messaging strategy that would clarify and re-focus the game’s premise for an audience keen to experience fast paced, addictive arcade racing.

Our new brand “Driftopia” was the solution- bringing everything back to one simple premise – the fun, freedom and exhilaration of drifting.
