The Job

Maverick is looking for a Creative Strategist to join the team working with Pokémon to understand the client’s acquisition & retention marketing needs and develop them into strategies, deliverable executions and creative campaigns.

You will work in collaboration with the Campaign Manager, Account Director and Creative/Production team to develop a yearlong creative strategy, providing creative ideation and developing projects that support both specific product campaigns and an overall A&R campaign.

As part of this role, you will be expected to:

Develop creative marketing strategies that align with campaign messaging and client’s core marketing objectives.

Develop innovative and creative strategies using target audience insight and research, taking into consideration all communication channels.

Turn these strategies into tangible actions for the creative team (including positioning and messaging) and track progress of these through ideation, production and roll out with client.

Create presentations and documents to pitch strategy and creative.

Consult on creative talent options for projects and decide best creative approach to achieve the brief.

Take and give feedback throughout the project ensuring creative aligns to the campaigns agreed with client.

Build strong relationships with external talent, especially strategy/planners engaging with them so that they are motivated to deliver high quality results (as needed).

Keep abreast of consumer insight in our clients’ business and know the range of client games/products and services.

Keep in tune with competitive client analysis, new behaviours, platforms, tools that are changing the landscape.

Identify opportunities to apply insights, advise on campaign directions and organise thinking that can focus the creative ideation process and actively seek to increase the scope of project responses with clients at every opportunity.

Leverage the collective intelligence and insight of the team and our broader contacts to conduct research, brainstorming sessions and ideation.

Collaborate with the Campaign Manager to identify and set KPI’s, analyse the performance of our work, track results and spearhead continuous improvement, internal education and best practise.
