  • Work with producers and the client to accommodate and agree on changes or updates to schedules. Ensure this process is productive, timely and carefully managed.

  • Share insights, all feedback and way-of-working improvements from the client back to Maverick.

Management

  • Coordinate and oversee all stages of the project lifecycle; assessment of briefs, project kick offs, strategy, creative development, pitching, production, post-production, delivery and wash-up/debriefs.
  • Leverage experience via line management of your direct reports, and ensure their performance and output is good.
  • Provide effective support to your direct reports by being their first line for escalated issues. Escalate issues to Head of Production when needed.
  • Ensure your direct reports are trained and developed through the production career path.
  • Work with the Head of Production and other department heads to ensure the performance and output of other various staff and producers (not your direct reports) that work on the account / account projects (creatives, strategists, client services, etc) is good.
  • Approve production budgets and P&Ls up to £250k, ensuring the Target Margin is met.
  • Ensure any budget changes are fair, properly documented on the account tracker and communicated with the client.
  • Ensure Maverick gets a ‘good service’ from freelancers and suppliers. Similarly ensure we are looking after our suppliers with good communication, close management and care by our team.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, engaging them so that they are motivated to deliver high quality results for Maverick’s clients.

Process

  • Ensure consistency of internal process from Maverick, i.e., how we store and use client assets, how we record and communicate internal client questions and client feedback (e.g. on an internal status tracker, on emails and on SharePoint), keeping to turnaround times for amends, ensuring deliverables made to spec, etc.
  • Lead final delivery of every project to both the client and the media agency, ensuring the correct quality control procedures have been followed accurately.
  • Ensure consistency of external process from Maverick. Work with the Account Brand Director and other Maverick staff to ensure that our communications, presentations and other production elements are kept to process and the optics with the client are ‘excellent’.

  • Make sure of accurate internal project reporting and administration on projects, including ensuring all project information is kept updated in FileMaker.
  • Working with the Creative Strategist, keep on top of the live media agency agenda and shared project status documents.
