Pokémon GO needed to promote a range of new features in the game.
They challenged Maverick to create a campaign of social video content to communicate this in a way that was both relevant to the channel, and to the audience.
Maverick homed in on the expectation vs. reality meme that was prevalent in the social discourse at the time - and used this as a basis to create a series of fun and relatable comedic moments.
These films helped deliver a boost to the brand, and there was a marked uptake in users engaging with the new features, helping to maintain the growth of GO through the tricky summer months.
